The Next Generation!

Crest is proud to introduce the CP-48W Series – one of several new vandal dome options available from the leader in CCTV. The 48W Series offers the next generation in CCD imaging, utilizing Gen 2 digital wide dynamic range (DWDR) technology. Gen 2 DWDR processing enables this analog camera to see in a variety of lighting conditions. In bright direct sunlight, advanced back light compensation technology allows bright light areas to be compensated for via an adjustable on screen grid – no more having to position the camera to put the high light area in the center of the scene!

Utilizing a motorized IR cut filter, along with the same DWDR technology, the 48WS can see all the way down to near total darkness with an astounding 0.0009 lux in B&W mode. This technology also allows higher signal-to-noise ratios, giving a clear picture in low light, which means no more “snow” in low light scenes. The 48WS is a great choice for customers who want top-of-the-line video quality, no matter how poor the lighting conditions.

For applications that have zero light, there is the Dynamic IR LED version CP-48WS-24, which can project light up to 50 feet, providing its own illumination of the scene. Dynamic IR is a part of the Gen 2 package, for the first time allowing not just the activation threshold, but also the intensity of the IRs to be automatically adjusted via an internal sensor! This permits a wider throw of the IR light for more even lighting, and the dynamic function means no more whited out images when a reflective object moves through the scene!

The 48W Series includes all of the standard features you’ve come to expect from a Crest camera, including a 2.8-11mm vari-focal auto-iris lens, 3 axis gimbal, an IP67 vandal resistant enclosure, secondary service monitor video output and, as a nod to the installer, we made the upper housing deep enough for all of your cable connections and UTP video baluns. Crest’s CDR-4516 

Does your next CCTV project need the features of a PC-based DVR, but ONLY has the budget for an embedded DVR? Today, Crest Electronics has an answer for you – the CDR-4516 Linux-based embedded DVR.

Advanced feature sets give the 4516 the power of a PC-based DVR in an embedded chassis. This 16 camera digital recorder uses H.264 compression with real time display and recording rates, all while still giving you true Pentaplex functionality. The 4516 gives the installer complete control of the unit. Comprehensive menus allow for control of individual settings for camera frame rate, video quality, resolution, recording type and schedule, as well as network connectivity.

The CDR-4516 utilizes the latest Texas Instruments Da Vinci Digital Media Processor. The DMP allows for the frame-by-frame playback of recorded video. Most embedded DVRs only playback the reference frames when recorded video is fast forwarded. This is what causes the jerky video when fast-forwarding, making it difficult to find the video you are looking for. Coupled with the front panel jog shuttle control, you can now pinpoint the crucial second of video you are looking for, at up to 64x speeds, without missing any frames! The CDR-4516 is fully networkable, and can be accessed via Crest’s latest explorer based remote software, CrestLink II, or one of two smart phone apps.

To seal the deal, we only use enterprise hard drives, up to 4 TB internal, designed for 24/7 operation in less than ideal conditions such as an office closet or security lockbox – in other words, where these units are often installed in the real world. All of this allows us to offer a full 3-year warranty on the CDR, including the hard drives!
